Challenge Groups

How many times have you signed up for a gym membership with EVERY intention of going so many times a week.  You tell yourself, "If I pay for the membership, I will make myself use it".  And then what happens?  You start the first week off really strong and you go 3 times!  Then it slowly fades away.  Life gets busy.  You plan to go to the gym after work but you end up being too tired and don't want to deal with getting ready, driving there, working out, and driving home.  Things get in the way.  Or, you're like me and you are a complete introvert, so the idea of even leaving your house to drive somewhere that people will be watching you workout is totally terrifying.  Perhaps you are also like me in the fact that you would have no idea where to even BEGIN when you walked into the gym.  



Similarly, how many times have you bought a fitness DVD program and you tell yourself that NOW you'll do it because you'll have no excuses.  You'll be able to do it at home when it works for you and it will be so much easier than having to schedule gym time.  And you do a couple workouts.  And then the DVDs join all of the others on your shelf collecting dust? Did you know that statistically 60% of people quit their workout routine within the first two weeks because of excuses? 


What are your excuses for not living a healthy lifestyle?  Are you just too busy?  Are you too afraid to start because you're afraid that you'll just fail again?  You think that you couldn't possibly "afford" to eat healthy?  I've had all these excuses stop me in my tracks before.  But there is an answer to all of the excuses.  And this is why I believe so much in and host my health and fitness Challenge Groups!

For me, I know that I needed some motivation and an extra layer of accountability so I could stop making these excuses.  I didn't have that until I joined my first online challenge group doing the 21 Day Fix. When I joined my first challenge group, it was the first time that I stuck to a workout routine and clean eating meal plan. Once I learned what clean eating really meant and I starting doing that consistently, along with drinking Shakeology every day - I FINALLY saw a drastic change in the way I felt and looked. I finally saw results from all of the hard work and dedication that I was investing into my health.  I learned what it means to really live a healthy lifestyle. It means you have to work at it.  You have to be consistent with exercise and be consistently eating foods that fuel your body. It was then that I knew I wanted to become a coach and help others along their own personal journey.  It was truly the very first time in my life that I stuck to something.  I ditched the excuses.  I stopped yo-yo dieting.  I became confident.  I became more patient with my husband, my children, and my students.  I started loving myself.  

My goal as a coach running these Challenge Groups is to help you kick the excuses, end emotional eating, equip you with the tools you need to be successful, and teach you how to make this a LIFESTYLE and not a crash diet! My mission is to set you up with a fitness program that is not too easy but not too difficult  - something that is just right for your ability level.  Then, I help you create customized meal plans so that you can learn how to plan out your meals, prepare healthy snacks, help with recipes, tips, motivation and most importantly ACCOUNTABILITY to start a complete a fitness program. This is not a place for competition or comparing.  This is a place where you can feel safe and comfortable talking about your struggles and your triumphs.  A place where you will never feel judged for making mistakes, instead you will be encouraged and we will celebrate your victories along the way.
